Only the brave wild advert
The text that has been used is the phrase “only the brave wild” and the Diesel logo as it clearly shows who’s advertising it. This text has been used because it is simplistic, bold and get the viewers attention by being the biggest letters on the shot so they notice it straight away so if they are only glancing at it hey can clearly make out what it says.
The Diesel logo is very easily recognisable as it is in the shot twice by being in red at the top right corner of the ad because it stands out to everything else in the ad as it is in red and the only red in the shot. The Diesel logo is also on the bottle of the fragrance in black on green, so it stands out for being in the centre of the screen.
The colour scheme throughout the ad is a grey and green as it is green when the main character is running through the jungle scenery because of the trees and then it transitions to a grey high-rise buildings that are in the ad.
The storyline of the advert follows a man running through a jungle and then he enters a more bland and modern area that appears to be a city that is just a light and dark grey. In the final shots it shows the main character standing on the ledge of one of the buildings.
Royal Marines The mist advert
There is only text on the advert at the end of it which says “It’s a state of mind, you may already have it” and the commando dagger in the middle of the screen because it shows who is advertising it and the text is in white so it stands out to the audience as the background is quite dark.
The logo stands out to the viewer because it is straight in the middle of the screen so the eyes are guided towards it and if the viewer is reading the slogan then they will see the logo as well because it is between the slogan to finish reading it they will see the logo.
The colour scheme throughout the advert is grey because of the of the water and the smoke coming from the various bits of broken brand above the water that are on fire and orange because of the fires.
The voice over is of a man describing fear and he has a deep but calming voice that draws the viewer in and makes them interested in the advert because it is different, and most people couldn’t imagine or want to do it.
The storyline follows 5 marines on a RIB whilst 3 of them have their weapons out the other 2 are using paddles as it is quieter than using the engine as they go into danger and the unknown.
